Wedding day creative partners

Bianca, her mom, and I met for wine and appetizers, technically to talk photos and timelines. We mostly just talked. I left a little giddy, already picturing their gallery before I’d picked up a camera.

Their wedding looked exactly like them. A Prada bolo tie, designer bags everywhere, and a guest list that took the dress code seriously.

The detail I keep coming back to happened before anyone sat down. Every guest found a handwritten letter from Bianca and Mason waiting at their seat. Every single one. It said a lot about these two before the ceremony even started.

They skipped the first look, so Mason saw Bianca for the first time as she started down the aisle. I was watching his face for that one. It did not disappoint.

El Chorro was the right call for a wedding like this: long tables under string lights, Camelback glowing at golden hour, and a family-style dinner nobody was in a hurry to leave. It really was one big family dinner, with vows. Then came the cigar bar, the gelato cart, and a grand entrance with the whole room waving napkins over their heads, which was exactly as fun as it sounds.

By the end of the night, nobody there felt like a guest. Everyone was family, which I think was the point all along.
