As a wedding and engagement photographer based in Phoenix, Arizona, I understand the importance of capturing special moments with loved ones, and how much thought and preparation goes into making them perfect. Especially deciding what to wear to your photoshoot.
One of the biggest challenges my clients face when planning their photoshoot is deciding what to wear. I’ll be honest, even as a professional photographer, I’ve experienced this struggle firsthand during my own photo sessions! It’s not just about throwing on some clothes and showing up. You want to feel comfortable and confident, and at the same time, make sure your outfit is not too distracting or underwhelming in your photos. After all, your photos are an investment and you want them to turn out stunning!
So, what should we wear to our photoshoot?
Don’t you worry! That’s why I put together a guide to help take the stress out of planning your outfits, and ensure that you look and feel your best on the day of your photoshoot. Whether it’s a family portrait, engagement session, or a bridal shoot, the right outfit can make all the difference.
When it comes to choosing what to wear, it’s important to consider the location, time of day, and style of the shoot. For example, if you’re shooting at a park or garden, you may want to opt for softer and lighter colors. If your session is taking place during sunset, wearing warm tones like orange or yellow can enhance the colors in the sky. If it’s a more formal session, you may want to dress up in something more elegant.
The hardest part of a planning a photoshoot is often deciding what to wear, but it shouldn’t be! It wasn’t until my own session that I realized that it can be kind of daunting putting together outfits that everyone looks and feels good in. No matter what type of photo session you book it is an investment, and you want to make sure you get the most out of your images!
