I'm a wedding, elopement, and engagement photographer specializing in storytelling and true to life photography!
It’s hard to believe that we’re just a little over a month out from Christmas! I don’t know about you, but this year flew by. I haven’t given any thought to holiday gifts until now. After doing some brainstorming I’ve thought of five way to turn your photos into gifts that every recipient will love! It doesn’t matter whether you had professional photos taken or if you use photos from your phone’s camera roll. These personalized photo gift ideas will be loved.
Personalized USA Travel Map – this is a super neat idea for the couples or families who love to travel. A small business on Etsy creates maps of the US that you add a photo from each state you’ve visited. I thought this was way cool! Here is the link for the Etsy shop I found, its called ThunderBunnyLabs. They make it easy for you to create a personalized map using their online Map Maker tool. You’re able to print the photos at home if you have a printer with the capabilities. If you don’t have a printer you can order from your favorite printing lab!
Photo Albums. I think we all know someone who got married this year since it was a huge year for weddings. This personalized photo gift idea is perfect for the couple that just said “I Do”! Leading up to the wedding there are usually many events that take place. The engagement party, wedding shower, the bridal shower, bachelor and bachelorette parties, and rehearsal dinner. Then of course the wedding itself, and then the honeymoon! What better way to compile all these events than in a photo album for the happy couple to flip through? This will gift them the ability to forever relive such a special time of their lives.
There are so many companies and photo labs out there that create photo albums and books. I would make sure to order from a company that uses quality printers. There’s nothing worse than low quality images. I’ve heard great things about Artifact Uprising!
Photo Calendar – Creating a calendar for the new year is a not only a thoughtful gift but a useful one! You can add dates for birthdays and anniversaries, as well as events coming up like family reunions or planned vacations. I’ve made several photo calendars and I always love having them on my wall! I’ve previously ordered mine through Shutterfly but Artifact Uprising has really beautiful minimalistic calendars as well!
Photo Frames For Gallery Wall – I love walking into a home and seeing photos framed on the wall. Maybe it’s because I’m a photographer and strongly believe you should frame your photos… But I believe those photos tell a story that should be displayed! Gallery walls can be hung in so many different ways. They can be uniform with all the same size of photos. Or, they can be mix and match with different sizes and colors. You can buy frames or a gift card so they can choose what they hang on the wall.
Here are just a few ideas under $50 that make great gifts…
There are so many gift ideas using photos but these are just some of my favorites. Hopefully this list helps you this holiday season!
