This San Diego Wedding wedding was absolutely stunning. Jaw dropping. The details were incredible, the love was tangible, and the day was perfect! One of my favorite San Diego photographers, Shelby Paige, asked me if I was available to second shoot this wedding alongside her and of course I made myself available for the opportunity!
Andrew & Kylie’s San Diego Wedding
When I first arrived to Estancia La Jolla, which is one of my favorite venues in San Diego, I met up with the sweetest group of groomsmen. Andrew and his guys were so laid back and enjoyable to be around! They were watching football, drinking beers, and enjoying each others company. Once they were dressed we took some photos of them all together, they did a toast with Coors, and sent Andrew on his way to do his first look with his stunning bride.
Kylie is breathtakingly gorgeous, she has the sweetest heart and was just a light to be around (no wonder Andrew fell in love with her.) Her dress was stunning, I’m a sucker for tulle and sparkle! We got them all set up for their first look and really just captured the genuine emotions and reaction of the moment. I’m a huge proponent of first looks, this is a perfect opportunity to have some alone time as a couple on your wedding day! And I promise they don’t take away from the moment of walking down the aisle, that moment is just as special for the both of you!
The Ceremony
Their ceremony was so personal and sweet. I always love when couples write their own vows, it brings the waterworks every single time! Let’s also take a moment to admire and appreciate these incredible floral arches… I mean are you serious?!
There were so many details throughout their whole day. I mean when you hire Details, Darling to plan your wedding you’re going to get details galore! Some of my favorite personalized touches throughout the day were including their fur baby, Will! They not only included him in some photos during their bride and groom portraits, but they also had him drawn onto the koozies that they handed out to their guests. They also had the prettiest seating chart with envelopes for their guests to stop by before heading to the reception. And can we take a moment for the Taylor Swift lyrics etched throughout their decor?! For a Swifty like myself I was obsessed.
Pro tip: Check out your wedding reception space before any of your guests make their way in! This is such a special moment and the perfect time to see your vision brought to life. If you don’t want to do a private last dance you could opt to do a private “first first dance” together at this time!
