I'm a wedding, elopement, and engagement photographer specializing in storytelling and true to life photography!
Max & Alexa’s wedding day was STUNNING! I had the opportunity to second shoot for Briquelle for this beautiful couple’s big day. I am so grateful for the chance I had to work alongside her. This was the first wedding I shot in Phoenix since moving from San Diego. Let me tell you, I fell in love with desert weddings on this day. Was it hot? Hot is an understatement. Was it worth? Ohhh yessss!
These two said, “I do” at Blackstone Country Club at Vistancia, and the venue is so dreamy! From start to finish this day was perfect. There was so much love surrounding this couple and everyone was there for them, celebrating their love story.
Alexa and her bridesmaids arrived to the venue ready to go for “getting ready” shots. They were dressed in their cute pajamas with hair and makeup already done! This is something I highly recommend to all bridal parties. Especially if your venue doesn’t allow for you to be in the bridal suite all day. If this is the case, get ready at your hotel or airbnb before. Before you leave, get the robes or pajamas on, then load up and head to the venue. This allows more time in your timeline to use for the fun pajama photos and popping the bubbly! Leaving plenty of time to get in your wedding dress and take those dreamy getting ready photos!
Max & his groomsmen were right next door watching football, drinking beer, and relaxing before they got ready. They were such a sweet and fun group of guys who were there to hype Max up. Seeing them stand by his side so supportive as he married his beautiful bride! Once they were all ready to go we took some group shots. They even partook in a pre-ceremony cigar which I though was so fun to do. This adds a fun, personal element to groomsmen photos!
Before Max and Alexa did their first look they took time to do a first look with their parents, Alexa & her dad, and Max & his mom. I have seen father-daughter first looks and they’re always so precious and emotional, but this was the first time I had ever seen a mother-son first look and let me tell ya, I loved it! Including your parents in ways like this help make your wedding day feel more memorable and personal!
Their ceremony was intimate and beautiful, and as usual I was tearing up behind my camera… wedding ceremonies just put me in my feels every single time! After their ceremony we headed to a beautiful area on the property and took family portraits and bridal party photos, after that we took some more bride and groom photos at golden hour and then it was time to party!! This wedding day was so classic and timeless and full of intimate and personal moments that I absolutely loved documenting.
