Sometimes the day of your session the weather is “less than ideal.” But as long as it’s safe and if you’re down to embrace the weather that Mother Nature throws your way… I promise it will be worth it! Some of my favorite sessions I have ever had are when it’s overcast, windy as heck, or even snowing. So if you have a shoot scheduled and it starts to rain or it looks like it’s going to rain, here are a few ideas on how to embrace it…

Max and Alexa’s wedding day was STUNNING! I had the opportunity to second shoot for Briquelle for this beautiful couple’s big day and I am so grateful for the chance I had to work alongside her. This was the first wedding I shot in Phoenix since moving from San Diego and I fell in love with desert weddings on this day. Was it hot? Hot is an understatement. Was it worth? Ohhh yessss!

One thing I love seeing when I show up to a wedding is seeing personal and unique touches incorporated throughout the day! This wedding was absolutely stunning. Jaw dropping. The details were incredible, the love was tangible, and the day was perfect! One of my favorite San Diego photographers, Shelby Paige, asked me if I was available to second shoot this wedding alongside her and of course I made myself available for the opportunity! 

I adore these two, I was so stoked when they asked me to capture their elopement day! Miki, Morgan, and I sat down in the early months of 2022 in a coffee shop in San Diego to start planning their elopement. We were starting from ground zero when it came to planning, they weren’t sure exactly where they wanted to elope but knew they wanted the adventure elopement and loved the desert. Joshua Tree was on the table (which is always a favorite for me) but once we started looking at photos of Sedona elopements they were sold!

J & A flew to Arizona from Houston for their engagement shoot and I was so honored to capture this moment for them! When Alice first reached out to me she told me that she was wanting to rent a classic car for their shoot, which I’m a huge fan of. I did some location scouting, chatted with the owner of this insanely beautiful Porsche, and we formed a plan for a sunrise session.
